Concerning the Third Secret of Fatima - and other prophecies

What is a prophecy? The work entitled "Toward the Light – a Message to Mankind from the Transcendental World" reveals the details of the mechanisms which are to be found behind the phenomenon of the various predictions that mankind has seen come true (more or less) over the course of time. Today, one question is being asked over and over by many people: how was it possible for Ali Agca (the would-be assassin of the Pope) to know the contents of Fatima’s third secret? This apparent mystery is, in reality, easily explained – as are many of the other problems that mankind has continually sought answers for.

As a matter of fact, there is a grain of truth in all of the hypotheses regarding this phenomenon. Every now and again, Nostradamus’ famous Quatrains are discussed, together with other messages – Swedenborg’s visions, the messages received by Jakob Lorber, the Bible's Book of Revelations, etc. The question is, what do the biblical prophecies and those received in Fatima (Salette, Medjugorje, etc.) have in common with those conveyed by "mortal souls"?

If for a moment we observe all of the various prophesies with no regard to their origin, without registering whether they derive from popular beliefs, or from the various Madonnas – or from the mysterious vapours where Nostradamus would read them, we discover that they all have a common characteristic: they always concern future disasters, wars, and various other horrors. In rare cases a "candy" is offered after all the sad events – which, however, will be obtained only after having suffered through innumerable trials. There will be "eternal peace", at last all human beings will love each other and be closer to God, etc. This will only happen if we succeed in overcoming the trials of hell on Earth. And, as Catholicism has it: provided that we are converted to the just creed.

So, seen from a detached viewpoint, we have a scenario that seems destined to cause mankind to tremble with fear, rather than allow us to come closer to God. What has become of Jesus Christ’s message of love? Jesus taught us how to distinguish the true God, our Father, from the god of wrath portrayed in the ancient holy scriptures – the tyrannical god seen in the legends of the ancient Hebrews. In this sense, all the prophecies reveal a return to the fearful themes of antiquitiy: as if Jesus of Nazareth had never lived on Earth at all.

Wait a moment: wasn't Jesus himself known as a prophet? There is the famous example of the prediction of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. Here, we must consider that many of the things that Jesus allegedly said, as stated in the Gospels, were never spoken by him at all! Scholars and linguists have identified many phrases and words inserted many years after the evangelists’ lifetime. This is also the case with the famous "prophecy" of the destruction of the temple – it had been added to the Gospel much later in order to lend credibility to the doctrine that Paul of Tarsus constructed around what little he knew of Jesus. In fact, if we confront Jesus’ behaviour – mild, loving although characterized by a certain authority – with the eerie prophecy of the temple, as well as with other phrases that seem "off key" in the context of Jesus’ personality, it is easy to imagine that not all that we read may be true. In one moment, the God of the Old Testament is a loving father, and in the next he is similar to a vindictive genie that is all but patient – likewise, in the Gospels, we see Jesus in two separate aspects: one Jesus who patiently explains the spiritual principles to the people – alternated by another who "pronounces sentences", who declares the approaching ruin of Jerusalem or of those who do not follow his teachings. Such an attitude was far removed from what Jesus represented – if we are to believe that he was a coherent person.

Prophets and soothsayers have existed for as long as mankind remembers. Human beings have always wished to know about their destiny – preferably, with as many details as possible, concerning their own future. At the very least, they would feel safer knowing what dangers to defend themselves against, or whether it would be possible to rest assured in the knowledge that no harm would come to them. We may also observe how the esoteric doctrines point at an explanation – it may be that these doctrines come close to the truth. The founders of theosophy and anthroposophy used the oriental name "Akasha" to describe the concept of a vaguely-defined "astral" or "etheric" place where past, present and future events were all written, as if all earthly events were completely pre-destined. As if mankind’s "karma" ran on tracks laid out by the decisions of a superior will, for better or for worse – a superior will that, according to this point of view, would "play" with us, as if we were marionettes. Goodbye to free will.

What is at the root of the images and visions contained in this astral or "akashic" chronicle of mankind's fate? As they say, where there is smoke there is a fire – although the explanation may be somewhat different from what we might expect. If, for a moment, we imagine that the battle between good and evil is a cosmic reality which has its origins in a distant past, we may attempt an explanation by means of the information available in "Toward the Light". This book presents controversial and radically different realities – different from those we have hitherto been obliged to consider acceptable and branded with the mark of truth. The text of "Toward the Light" advances some probable explanations to our questions and adds in the possibility of doing our own personal research in order to confirm the assertions we are presented with.

The fight between good and evil was not an equal fight, as good – the light – had already gained the superior position through the key events which transpired at the genesis of the universe resulting in the emanation of God, a God of Light. If these key events had not resulted in the birth of a God of Light, the darkness, evil, would have won and gained ascendancy, and the result would have been an unordered chaos, not the inherently-ordered energies we observe in the principles of nature, in the universe, everywhere. The light won the struggle into existence. The God of Light that emerged to evolve and order creation faced a dilemma with respect to sentient beings - would they always be totally directed or would they bear a free-will and face their own struggle out of darkness? This dilemma was resolved, God imposed a self-limitation on himself - his offspring would have free-will and someday must face the darkness running as an undercurrent throughout existence. If God's offspring were to be truly independent beings and not his "marionettes" they would have to learn of the existence of the darkness and someday face its evil power and in this way find true independence of spirit. These things came to pass. The text of "Toward the Light" describes the struggle of a group of God's first created children who faced the darkness and lost the struggle. The history of these events has long been obscured from mankind’s understanding, the book documents the complete story. Here, we will focus on this group, referred to as the "Eldest", who were overcome by the darkness and the confused and aberrant thinking that it engendered, causing these spirits to declare war on God, the Light and to grapple for control of mankind.

One of the weapons chosen by the "Eldest" to discredit God and the good in front of the defenceless human race, was that of "predetermining" a series of catastrophic events whose realization in the earthly world would cause a total "fear of God" – mankind’s fear of divine vengeance, darkness and suffering destined to fall upon us, as "seen" by the persons possessing the faculty of clearsight – people like Nostradamus, Swedenborg, etc.

The clearsighted were able to see these events – still only imaginary – because the images of the "anticipated" disasters (and in rare cases non-disasters) were suspended like films running in the Earth’s atmosphere.

The shepherd children who saw the "Madonna" appear before their eyes on various occasions are to be counted among these persons gifted with clearsight. These children were sought out by the representatives of evil in their spiritual condition (they would be the ‘Eldest’, troubled spirits of the dead, or the spirits of still-living persons who had freed themselves from their bodies during sleep elsewhere in the world – following the principle of bilocation) who would then "reveal" to them the nature of some of the predetermined events suspended in the ether surrounding the Earth.

For what purpose? To inspire still more fear in mankind – in the case of the Madonnas with a particular attention to Catholics – so that the creative power of our thoughts would be activated. In reality, we are the only ones to decide our lives. And if we fear with sufficient emphasis that a particular event may happen, we actually risk visualizing its realization – and voilą: the wish of the representatives of evil – to obscure good and the love of God – comes true.

Should we continue to lend ourselves to this fearful game?

Against the background of the above description of the nature of prophecies and in the light of the truths contained in "Toward the Light", we have the possibility of answering the question: how was it possible for Ali Agca to know the content of Fatima’s third secret? The answer comes easily. As it is known, clearsighted persons are to be found everywhere in the world, and this faculty does not know of the boundaries built by religions or ideologies. Rather than thinking of a resourceful spy acting within the Vatican, it is logical to hypothesize that some Turkish clairvoyant had "seen" the image of the events described in the third secret – only to tell/sell what he/she had seen to those who might gain political advantage by using the information. We are still operating in the ambient atmosphere of the darkness.

Unfortunately, the long years of secrecy maintained around Fatima’s third secret have only had the effect of strengthening the apprehensive thoughts of mankind, concentrated on imagining the symbolic and hypothetical catastrophies contained within this prophecy. The spontaneous question arises why the Church decided to keep this secret for so long after the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II in 1981 and the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. Why has this secret not been revealed till now? Why have so many Catholics been kept suspended in fear of the content of Fatima’s third secret, while creating useless scenarios of death, war and destruction in their thoughts? Our thoughts are highly creative – let us use them, then, at the service of good, of the light.
